Internships and Research
Internships allow you to refine your skills and make valuable professional connections. St. Kate's has an active career development office and expert faculty to help you find these experiences.
You may also tap St. Kate's global network of alumnae for internship openings, career advice and informational interviews.
If you're interested in a legal career, St. Kate's offers pre-law advising and a Mock Trial program led by practicing lawyers.
In addition to our senior seminar course, which includes a research project or thesis, you can participate in research through:
- Antonian Scholars Honors Program
Antonian Scholars complete an academic or creative project as the final step in St. Kate's rigorous honors program.
For example, Sigrid Barklund, double major in philosophy and chemistry, developed a high school English course combining literature and philosophy. She's now pursuing a Ph.D. in physical chemistry at the California Institute of Technology.
- Assistantship Mentoring Program (AMP)
AMP pairs juniors and seniors with faculty or staff mentors on specific projects. Student Kathryn-Ann Geis helped Emily West, professor of classics and history, with research on Greek fonts.
