Economics Minor Requirements

St. Kate's minor in economics gives you an understanding of economic theory and practice. At least three of the five required courses below must be taken in residence at St. Kate's.

  • ECON 2610: Principles of Microeconomics
  • ECON 2620: Principles of Macroeconomics
  • Three additional courses in economics numbered 3000 or higher*

*ECON 2250 may be substituted for one of these three courses.

Financial Economics Minor Requirements

St. Kate's minor in financial economics provides an understanding of the world's financial system and economic principles.

  • ECON 2250: Statistical Analysis for Decision Making
  • ECON 2610: Principles of Microeconomics
  • ECON 2620: Principles of Macroeconomics

  • Plus two additional courses from the following:

  • ECON 3350: Money and Banking
  • CON 3650: Investment Theories
  • ECON 3460: Global Financial Issues
  • Finance Minor

    St. Kate's also offers a minor in finance, which combines courses in accounting and financial economics.
